What a waste of opportunity for character moments.
How did Steve feel going into Halawa for the first time since his escape and seeing guards who used to be, you know, guarding him? How is he coping after his torture? How did Danny feel about dealing with a bunch of kidnapped kids his daughter's age who attended a school much like hers? Guess we'll never know.
In all the frantic running around with tight deadlines, I love how they still managed to find time to stop and wash the mud off Danny's Camaro whenever it got dirty. 8-P
Five-0 must have quite a reputation when it comes to maintaining a chain of evidence. First they let Hesse set fire to the money from the asset forfeiture locker, and now they let Castillo's people blow up $80 million in drug evidence.
Speaking of Castillo, I just have to say it...Five-0 was Keyser Söze'd! Hee. Castillo reminded me a lot, in both appearance and attitude, of my former governor Rod Blagojevich, who is having his first sentencing hearing tomorrow regarding his corruption convictions. That should be a circus that'll put Ringling Bros. to shame.
Could that review board have made Joe sound any more like a superhero while ostensibly condemning him for his actions in Korea? And now that Joe is being forced to retire, he seems to think that makes him Batman to Steve's Commissioner Gordon. Steve could (should) have arrested him for kidnapping Hiro Noshimuri. I really hope Joe's story runs its course and they write him out very soon. He's a much bigger Mary Sue than Lori.
And speaking of Lori, I would love to see the governor have a meeting with her over her "oversight" of Five-0, especially now that she's supporting Steve and his crazy against the governor. The governor looked very surprised when Lori backed Steve instead of him.

Date: 2011-12-10 06:35 am (UTC)From:I just thought of something I haven't even seen covered much in fan-fic. Danny moved to Hawaii because Grace was there -- she's his world, his everything -- but he didn't move back to New Jersey with her because Steve was in trouble. Granted, she's a smart, sweet kid who likes Steve. However, I could see her being pretty upset with Danny and resentful of Steve. That whole experience had to be horribly stressful, so her acting up, even not wanting to see her dad (or saying she didn't to hurt him) would be understandable.

Who would want to go from mansions and servants to black mold and no windows?
