Remember the song lyrics meme I did last week? My flist got 5 out of 20. Usually you guys get at least 10. 8-(

What really surprised me was that 4 of the song lyrics actually contained the song title, but only one of them was guessed (and viridian5 would have guessed that song even if I had quoted lyrics that didn't have the title in them).

Anyway, I went back and added the answers to the songs that weren't guessed. Feel free to check them out and kick yourself for missing "Zero" by Smashing Pumpkins. ;-)

I thought maybe you'd at least heard "Drag" by Placebo. I know you've heard some of their stuff.

I think you might like some of The Airborne Toxic Event. I doubt you'd like the whole album, but you might like "Wishing Well" and "Sometime Around Midnight." Then again, as a singer you listen for different things in songs than I do.

Hilariously, I've only gotten into two Placebo songs, and both were covers: "Bigmouth Strikes Again" and "Running Up That Hill." I got them from fan soundtracks.

I'll have to see if I can get a listen in sometime.

I've only gotten into two Placebo songs: "Drag" and "Running Up That Hill." I love the original Kate Bush version of "Hill," but when I heard the cover during the trailer for Daybreakers I went and tracked down the artist and album. Fortunately my library had the album. Libraries are awesome. 8-)

I thought that was a great use of music for a commercial. I especially love listening to their "Running Up That Hill" turned up when driving in my car at night.
