Watching Heroes last night gave me something to do while my PC's hard drive attempted to reconstruct itself after a massive system failure. Yay.
I'm utterly crushed that Sylar didn't even try to kill Danko. Not even a little bit. I am, however, very happy that Sylar gave him a gift-wrapped Eric Doyle. I'm not in favor of rounding up specials as a general thing, but if anyone deserves to be dropped down a well and never heard from again, it's Puppet Man.
Angela was looking a little beaten down this week. And I was disappointed she was caught so quickly (well, in the episode, anyway; I suspect she was looking so stressed because she'd been evading Danko's men for a bit already). Anyway, she may not have much in the way of action hero cred, but she has plenty of smarty brains and I was hoping to see her outsmart Danko's men a little longer. Her escape from the limo was awesome and very her. She's just lucky that Peter is the most forgiving son on the planet.
What was the point of dragging out the suspense about whether Daphne was really dead or not after she got shot if they were only going to bring her back long enough to have her really die? Pooey. I liked Daphne. Parkman gave her a very sweet sendoff, though.
On the other hand, I'd be a lot more enthused about Tracy's death if I didn't think Ali Larter was just going to come back again as yet another character. I just hope the next one is more obviously different from Jessica. I kept forgetting Larter was playing Tracy now.
Micah grew up fast! I didn't want to be disappointed that Micah turned out to be Rebel because I like Micah and he always wanted to be a hero, but since 90% of fandom had already guessed that Micah was Rebel, I was kind of hoping that the show would throw us a curveball and that Rebel would turn out to be Hana or something.
The Hiro/Ando/BabyMatt storyline was cute. I loved how BabyMatt kept turning on the TV while DaddyMatt was on. I'd love an explanation for why BabyMatt only jump-started one of Hiro's powers, though. Danko lost some evil overlord points from me when he sent out a team to bring Janice and BabyMatt in "for questioning." You're not really fooling anyone with your agenda when you bring in a baby who isn't even walking yet, let alone talking, for questioning.
Bets on how many episodes until Ali Larter turns up again? And could I please have a scene where Peter finally confronts his mother about how she wanted him to explode and die in season 1 so that his brother could be president? Pretty please? Just a little one?

Missed Sylar, but that red bow cracked me up.

I loved the oversized gift tag like the ones you always see in cheesy Christmas shows.

Date: 2010-02-03 01:12 am (UTC)From:But you might be right that it would make sense for Peter not to know - I figured he assumed she had put that part together, seeing as how I figured it out the moment we knew he was going to explode (by that time he already had Claire's power).
As for how Angela knew - she'd been dreaming that moment for years according to back history. I'm not going to say that Angela is up for any awards entailing her nice lady of the year... far from it
but then I tend to prefer morally ambiguous characters as I tend to be one. Her one weakness has always been her family (at least that's how I read it.) as for how long it's been since season one - I just started watching two weeks ago... we've been watching the back episodes on streaming vid through Netflix.
We're hooked we're doing like 4 - 5 eps a night and more on the weekends.
I like your reviews =)

Date: 2010-02-03 03:56 am (UTC)From:smokin' hotmy favorite character. The problem with Angela's dreams is that she's said she gets images and impressions, so unless we see her dream, and we haven't seen that many, it's hard to tell what she's seen from what she thinks it meant. Case in point: Angela's and Peter's dream about Emma. Angela didn't think Sylar was there to help, but Peter did. Yet the real question is why either of them were seeing Sylar with Emma. Peter knows she's supposedly going to kill thousands, and what does Peter do when there's trouble? Throw himself directly in its path. Plus, Emma is his friend, so why isn't anybody dreaming about Peter helping Emma? Where is he and what happened to him that he couldn't be there for her?

Season 1 was awesome like that. I used to watch the first-run episodes on NBC on Monday, then watch the repeat on SciFi (and, later, G4) on Friday.

We do a good enough job filling in the blanks we sometimes fail to notice that they didn't.
