Did the commercials say "mid-season" finale? Will there be more Eureka before next summer? I thought that hadn't been decided yet.

So, Eva Thorne wasn't that bad after all. In fact, she wasn't even Eva Thorne. She was Mary Perkins, sister of Dr. James Perkins, the head of the atomic bomb project Eva was watching footage of back at the beginning of the season, and the sole survivor of the unintended side effects of that project. All she wanted was to bury her brother and her colleagues and prevent their research from ever getting out. I must say that this was a much more satisfactory resolution than all the shenanigans regarding the artifact in the season 2 finale.

The only real disappointments that I have are regarding a lot of things I felt went unresolved in season 2. When did Henry go from hating Jack to forgiving him for Kim's death? Why did Henry stop hunting for Beverly to make her pay for Kim's death? Will Beverly ever be held accountable for the two murders she's committed in Eureka? And what happened to Sheriff Carter's girlfriend, Callie? None of that was even brought up this season. It was like season 2 never even happened.

Oh, well. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to Jack now that he's been fired, and how Allison will cope with being pregnant. Fortunately, Eureka has a commitment for 13 more episodes, so there won't be any unresolved cliffhangers.

I'm not looking forward to Lexi staying to raise her twins in Eureka. She's the one character on the show that I really can't stand.

I was glad to see a return of Allison's personality this season, but it seemed like anyone who wasn't Jack, Allison, Eva, or Zane didn't have much to do. I would've liked to have seen more of Henry, Jo, and S.A.R.A.H. Maybe next season.

great synopsis

First time vistor and I really like your blog.

Great synopsis!

I DVR'd Eureka and for some reason "Scare Tactics" ran long and cut off the the FINAL MINUTES!

Thanks for getting me up to speed.

When did Henry go from hating Jack to forgiving him for Kim's death?

*I think Henry realized the errors of his ways after his prison stint and the situation with Allison's son Kevin and the experiments. He realized that he could never bring her back and his life had meaning because of his relationships with his friends

Why did Henry stop hunting for Beverly to make her pay for Kim's death?

* see above

Will Beverly ever be held accountable for the two murders she's committed in Eureka?

* doesn't seem like it.

And what happened to Sheriff Carter's girlfriend, Callie?

* they broke up.

Thank you.

You're probably right. It's just that Henry spent all of season 2 secretly hating Jack while pretending to be his friend, so I must have missed the transition where he stopped pretending and decided to forgive him. I guess I was looking for something at least as dramatic as Henry's railing at Jack about hating him just before wiping Jack's memory of the whole thing.

When did Jack and Callie break up? The last I saw of them, they were having a romantic dinner at Café Diem. This season, Callie was never even mentioned and Jack was back to making eyes at Allison. It drives me nuts the way this show randomly couples people, then pairs them off differently with no warning or explanation. It's like a big town square dance.
