This episode was like a breath of fresh air after Fringe.
Lexi is still annoying the crap out of me. She's the worst houseguest ever. It's bad enough that she rearranges Jack's furniture and replaces the food in his fridge, but she had no right giving Zoe permission to blow off school for three days to go to a yoga retreat. That's something parents give permission for, not aunts. And when Jack resented her interference with Zoe, Lexi came out with, "You put on that uniform and you think you can tell everyone what to do." Well, not everyone. Just his daughter. I do not understand why this woman is Ms. Popularity in Eureka.
At least the plot was fun. Geeks with access to the most advanced technology on the planet? I'm surprised Chuck was the first superhero to turn up on the show. You'd think Eureka would be three deep in them.
I still get a kick out of the humor on the show, but with Nathan gone and Henry still suffering from Kim trauma, Jack is valiantly snarking away all by himself. He needs another foil.
The Eva Thorne subplot continues to move along in small spurts, but this time Jack threw down the gauntlet with her. He knows she's up to something and she knows he's never going to let it go, so they're on a collision course to the season finale. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in that abandoned military base she wants so much.
