I love interactive memes.

1. Your favorite.
2. Your least favorite.
3. One that makes you automatically think of me.
4. One that you think I should TOTALLY use more often.
5. One that you don't get/needs more explanation/you have no idea why I have it.
Also, I went back and added the answers to last week's song lyrics meme. You guys got 12 out of 20. I think a couple of you are going to kick yourselves when you see some of the songs that were left. I was really surprised at two of the songs that didn't go, because the song title was in the lyrics. I nearly took those songs out because I thought they'd be too easy.

2. Least favorite: Bringing sexy back (I just really hate that photo, altho I know I'm supposed to, lol); Winchest_Midwest (for personal reasons, even tho' I encouraged you to go [and would do so again] and am glad you had a good time)
3. One that makes you think of me: Weather, probably because your post about the tornado & lightning are memorable. Plus, it's very Midwest.
4. One that you think I should TOTALLY use more often: OMG, all the MST2000 ones! Glad to know it's not forgotten.
5. One that you don't get/needs more explanation/you have no idea why I have it: Just about everything that isn't Supernatural related, but mostly the McShep date (I know it's from SGA, but have no idea about the characters).

2. Least favorite: Bringing sexy back
It's not the photo I love so much as what it represents. Katee Sackhoff was taking the TV Guide sexy stars thing so seriously in her segment, making bedroom eyes at the camera and talking about how high heels make her feel sexy, and then she was immediately followed by Jared picking his nose and making blowfish faces at the camera. His enormous dorkitude is one of the things I love most about him.
4. One that you think I should TOTALLY use more often: OMG, all the MST2000 ones!
When the MST3K gang started doing Cinematic Titanic, I went hunting for MST3K icons. I have a whole bunch of really awesome ones, but I've only been able to use these 3 so far.

Rodney McKay and John Sheppard are my #1 slash pairing at the moment. That icon is really popular with McSheppers because it's so them. Rodney talks a lot (and frequently about how smart he is and how stupid everyone else is), and John just lets it roll off him. Also, John Sheppard is completely incapable of talking about his feelings, even under pain of death. One of the funniest scenes in the series involved John trying to tell one of his teammates, Teyla, that his team is more like a family to him than his own estranged family. He was having such a hard time with it that Teyla had to finish all of his sentences for him. Apparently, John can only talk about his feelings when someone else does it for him. :-)

Date: 2008-08-29 06:36 pm (UTC)From:#2. I do love that Jared doesn't take himself too seriously. But I had a really hard time finding an icon I didn't like. ;)
#5. Obviously I'm going to have to start watching SGA. You know, I thought the icon was kind of funny, but that the heart part when by way too fast. (So many animated icon makers don't bother to tweak the frame delay time, I just figured that's what it was. Now that you've explained it, it's awesome!

Date: 2008-08-30 05:08 am (UTC)From:Samurai Champloo is not my favorite anime series ever, but I liked the character of Jin. I especially like this picture because Jin is normally very reserved and wears layers of clothing with his hair back in a tight ponytail. Seeing him this undone had a lot of emotional impact for me, and it serves its duty as an icon for sad posts.
You should totally use the "It's a plot device" one more often
I want to (I love that icon), but usually an obvious plot device is the least of the problems I have with a show/movie. So far, I've only been able to use it for that craptastic episode of Torchwood where Gwen and Rhys got married.
And I don't really know why you have the kaleidescope one, other than it's pretty.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. When I first started uploading icons, I decided I needed at least one icon that was non-fannish. I'd been playing around with Kaleidoscope Painter online and finally figured out how to capture and save my creations, so I spent part of an evening making kaleidoscopes and turning them into icons. I made about 7 of them, but I liked this one the best.
