My favorite episodes of Eureka are the ones where a whole bunch of seemingly unrelated things come together to form a cohesive whole.
Who would've thought that robot dogs, logic diamonds, Zoe's physics homework, and volcanoes would have anything in common?
It was nice to see Lexa Doig (Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, Stargate SG-1) back again as Dr. Young, but the character's personality was so different this time that I wasn't sure at first if she was playing the same character.
The thing that stood out the most in this particular episode was the chemistry between the cast members. Everybody looked really relaxed and like they were having a good time working together. I wish I knew what was going on with Henry, though. The show spent so much time building up Jack and Henry's friendship, but they haven't spent much time together so far this season.
The one thing that seems to be missing this season is a compelling through plot. Eva Thorne's corporate machinations just aren't holding my attention like the artifact plot, or the investigation into Kim's death did. Of course, my dad has a theory that Eva Thorne is actually Beverly Barlowe in disguise, so I suppose there's a chance that Eva's storyline could get more interesting. Heck, it's only episode three, so there's plenty of time for things to build.
