Those of you who have brought laptops to MediaWest before, is the HIS WiFi free, or do you have to pay a fee for it?

To my knowledge it's free. They also have a hookup for those of us who still prefer wired, and when I asked, they said it was free.

Excellent! Aside from all the fannish reasons having Internet access is a plus, Ye Olde Community College is posting grades on Friday. I want to see my final grade in Spanish.

It's free, but it's spotty. It goes out pretty frequently, but works enough to get email and some IMing, but downloading..forget it in the rooms. If you are the atrium, it's good.

The con hotel for Kazcon had crappy wifi in the rooms, too. The hotel staff said the only good wifi connection was in the lobby. Oh, well. At least the atrium at HIS has comfortable seating.

You're not coming this year? Bummer. I'll miss having the SGAHC dinner.

You guys can have it without me if you want. Just issues with finances and having some people I don't want to deal with (I quit the Star Wars group that meets there) and the women I was going to room with not coming for the same reasons.

My boyfriend isn't going either. :-\
