Dear BBC America,
Please stop covering 1/6 of my TV screen with ads for Torchwood while I am actually watching Torchwood. It's not like I didn't already know it was on.

So, was anybody surprised that Owen didn't stay dead? No? Yeah, me neither. I believe I already had my rant about killing off characters but not really (psych!) last week. It's a plot device I've completely lost patience with.
I've been waiting for the other resurrection glove to turn up ever since Ianto made the comment about gloves coming in pairs. I'm glad they destroyed it in the same episode as they found it, though. It had too much potential to become a crutch for the writers.
Owen clinging to Jack for comfort after his first vision of the dark place was a huge change from last year. The relationship between the two of them has changed a lot. The scene between Jack and Owen in the cell after they got arrested was really cute. I was in serious danger of not hating Owen tonight. Thank goodness for next week's trailer.
Owen belching out the black cloud gave me Supernatural flashbacks. I wonder if any of TPTB in Wales are fans?
I have a couple of plot-related questions, though:
1. Why was Owen still, well, "animated" after Death used him as a conduit? The glove had been destroyed, and Owen had served his purpose so Death didn't need him anymore. I know that the massive amount of energy he absorbed at the end is powering him now, but what about the time period between Death coming through and Owen absorbing the energy that's currently keeping him going? Why didn't he cease functioning?
2. After Death came through as a big scary cloud, there was a jump cut to Jack seemingly bolting awake in the SUV at the hospital. Was there a scene there that got edited out, or were the writers counting on me to fill in the blanks and I failed? I know they were there to get Martha treated, but why was Jack still sitting around in the SUV while everyone else was inside the hospital?
I'm suffering from Jack/Ianto withdrawal. Maybe I can have my fix next week.
