Sorry for hitting you with two series in a row, but at least this one is short and full of short fics, unlike the last one.
This is a role reversal AU where Ronon Dex and his Satedan military unit find a Runner named John Sheppard who is the sole survivor of the culling of Atlantis. Sheppard ends up joining Ronon's unit and going on missions.
There are a lot of reasons I like it: the hurt/comfort, the look at Satedan culture, the found family vibes, Ronon and his wife helping Sheppard find his feet on Sateda (including nursing him through Satedan childhood diseases), and Sheppard trying to fit in amongst the massively strapping lads of the Satedan military.
TEASER
Getting Sheppard ready to report for duty is actually the hardest part. It takes a while to find armor narrow enough for his frame and the supply clerk makes endless fun of Sheppard because some of the equipment is in women's sizes.
