Yeah, I know, it's popular to crap all over BBC Sherlock these days. That's fair. Both the show and the fandom really went off the rails. However, I still love "A Study in Pink" and I still love some of the fic. Case in point.
This is a whole entire crackfic in which Mycroft decides the best way to keep Sherlock and John safe from a homicidal Moriarty is by inserting them into the UK Big Brother house as contestants. After all, every inch of the house is under intense surveillance at all times and security is very tight to prevent spoilers leaking. I am mightily amused every time I read it.

Gemi and John spend two hours on the sofa talking about daytime talkshows, until Sherlock sits down next to John and starts talking about putrefaction rates.
Gemi leaves after Sherlock uses the phrase 'liquifying tissue'.
John appears to be equally interested in both conversations.
