the_other_sandy: Black and white TV (TV)
I want to take shooting lessons from Jack. ::is shallow::

I enjoyed watching Gwen outrun Owen in the foot chase at the beginning. You don't normally see a woman outrunning a man on TV, but it makes sense since Gwen was recently a dedicated beat cop.

I was also amused that with all the high-tech gadgets they have access to in the hub, Owen found the little boy from the train station in the phone book.

There was yet another instance of someone removing alien tech from the hub without authorization. Do these people learn nothing from previous episodes? Gwen in particular should know better because she's the only one who lives with someone. If Rhys went into her purse to borrow her keys or something, how would she explain the alien device in there?

If Owen were a different person, I could've felt sorry for him for the terror he felt at experiencing Lizzie's rape and murder from her perspective. However, since Owen himself is a date rapist, it felt more like justice to me. Also, Owen's reaction seemed different from Gwen's. When Gwen saw the lost little boy at the station, she was worried about him and wanted to help him. She even tracked him down to see if he was okay (he was). Owen seemed more pissed off at the rapist for making him feel scared than concerned for Lizzie. Owen struck me as seeking revenge more for himself than for her.

P.S.--I'd love some feedback on what Torchwood fandom thinks, since I'm not involved at all and don't plan to be (my other fandoms keep me plenty busy).
