Just started a new section of the canvas on my 20-year project. It looked lonely over there in the upper left-hand corner. :)

I should post another pic of it, so you can see how *cough* far I've gotten *cough*.

I feel your pain. My current project is smaller than yours, but it'll still probably take me that long because I am the slowest stitcher in the entire world.
