Somebody was sure having a bad day.
Poor Aiden gets shot, doused in gasoline, set on fire, and then hit by a car. I had a flashback to Mike from MST3K saying, "Next he's going to fall into a vat of lemon juice," in "The Brain That Wouldn't Die."
So I guess "Wahine'inoloa" is Hawai'ian for Basic Instinct. I kept waiting for a scene where Dr. Victor suggestively crossed her legs, but fortunately we were spared that. It was nice to see a criminal that was smarter than the average bear, though, unlike the usual criminals we get on the show who practically leave a trail of breadcrumbs right to them. Well, except for the part where Olivia somehow managed to overlook the giant sugar cane stalk sticking out of her wheel well while spotlessly cleaning up all the rest of the evidence.
Can somebody please explain the Doris subplot to me? Why wouldn't people know Doris was alive? She's been out of hiding for months. And if Doris failed the hit 37 years ago, and she only faked her own death 20 years ago, why couldn't Mangosta or his people kill her in the intervening 17 years? I mean, Doris thought she'd succeeded in killing him, so it's not like she was looking over her shoulder for him.
Right. Not watching the show for the writing. Watching the show for Steve and Danny.
Was it just me, or did Danny seem more like the season 1 Danny than he has since, well, season 1? It was nice watching Danny trying to keep Steve focused on little things like evidence when Steve was letting Olivia's button-pushing get to him.
I just hope Danny doesn't get roped into keeping Doris's secrets like Catherine has. You just know Steve is going to find out about that eventually and it's not going to end well.
