But I've already seen season 4.
Did the writers just take the Ruby sub-plot from season 4 and do a find/replace on the names? Because this is all looking very familiar. Except now the brother sneaking off to spend time with a monster supposedly isn't betraying anything or anyone, he's doing "grown-up personal crap." Whatever, Dean. What do you want to bet Sam is the one who gets punched in the face again anyway?
I really hope we get to see a side of Amelia that makes it plausible that Sam hooked up with her, because so far I'm still stuck with my first impression of judgmental bitch. And I usually like Sam's love interests. The only other one I didn't like was season 4 Ruby.
When did Sam become a handyman? Not that it's not hot mind you, but John and Dean were always the Mr. Fix-its of the Winchester family. And since the flashbacks take place not very long after Dean disappeared, Sam hasn't really had time to pick up major new skills.
What was up with the "vampirates"? Okay, Benny looked and acted like a longshoreman, but the rest of his nest were very J. Crew metrosexual for dockworkers. I'm surprised they didn't sparkle.
I really hope the new conflict between Sam and Dean doesn't drag out all season. I'm so over it by this point. Don't they get enough conflict fighting monsters? Do they have to fight each other all the time, too?

Date: 2012-11-05 01:34 pm (UTC)From:I want their relationship healed, I want the brothers back. I know the writers think they have to keep changing things that we will grow tired of the monster of the week and all. They miss the point, I watch it for the brothers, for the things they will do for each other. We all wish we had that closeness in our lives, someone for whom we are everything. I watch Sam and Dean for that and of course to look at two hot guys swinging machetes at things I wouldn't want to see in broad daylight let alone in a dark creepy basement. At least that is why I watch it, I shouldn't assume those reasons extend to anyone else.
