That was fun. And depressing. Wow, that show looks dated from these clips, and I used to love it so!

But for much of its run, the writing transcended the cheap sets, bad acting, and lame special effects so that you didn't notice them so much, or at least forgave them because they weren't important.

Yes, true.... and those weren't exactly clips representative of their best work ;-) The show itself isn't as dated as it *looks* on screen in any case, since many of the plots and themes are still current today. And we were pretty used to hokey back then. Back when Lost in Space and Land of the Giants were state-of-the-art.
