Is it wrong that I spend so much of my time watching this show wanting to bang people's heads together?

Does Claire have a head injury? She seems to be suffering from short-term memory loss. She can't seem to remember what's happened from scene to scene. OMG, Samuel, you stole my dad's files! And you killed Joseph! And you're perverting Joseph's Utopian vision! ... Ooh, look at the pretty flowers! Wait, was I mad at you about something? Which was followed by, No, Dad, I won't give you the compass back so you can destroy the safe-haven of the carnival where I just spent the day being threatened and attacked by Eli and Eric Doyle. Oh, wait...

Speaking of the carnival, it looks like Joseph & Samuel were already running with the carnies and had inexplicable Irish accents as children. I thought they grew up on that estate in New York that their parents worked at. You know, the one Samuel sank because the rich people wouldn't put their dinner party on hold to give him a tour?

I see Mohinder got his boring and incomprehensible monologue back, yet did not manage to appear in either episode.

Dear Show,

Please decide if Mohinder is an actual cast member or not.

Love Some degree of like,

Sandy (no, the other one)

And while we're at it, could Hiro please have a story arc that doesn't make him into a live action cartoon? He's spent more time as an amnesiac, a 10-year-old, and a whatever-the-hell-he-is-now than he has as himself. Because speaking of brain injuries, Hiro just put Mohinder into the mental hospital, and now he's on a mission to get him out again? WTF? Maybe it's the writers who have short-term memory problems.

Why does no one call Samuel on his BS? I had high hopes that Emma would, but then Samuel showed her that her power wasn't about cracking drywall, it was about dragging people to her against their will in a Pied Piper-like manner that's not creepy at all. Thanks, Samuel! I can see how you managed to overcome Emma's common sense and naturally suspicious nature. ::rolls eyes::

I wish there'd been less crap about the carnival and more about Nathan's death and its aftermath, but even when we did get to that part, somehow Nathan's death was all about Claire. Umm, why? Yes, he was her biological father, but the amount of time she spent with him in her entire life could be measured in minutes without hitting triple digits. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she went to the funeral for Peter's sake if nothing else, but did anybody see Heidi or the boys at the funeral or the wake? And Angela was going to put up a picture of Claire at the wake? Where was the picture of Simon & Monty? Or were the writers suffering from short-term memory loss again (or maybe just hoping we were)?

[ETA: I have since seen some publicity stills and Heidi and the boys were at the funeral. Still haven't seen any pictures of the boys at the wake though.]

It was an interesting take on Peter's grief, or lack of grief, that he's so empathetic that he knows how to deal with everyone's feelings but his own. I can actually buy that. But that doesn't mean I don't want to see Peter come unglued into a sobbing mess, preferably in front of Emma or HRG. I'll even take Hesam if we ever get to see him again. Although I'm glad he got a couple of hugs from Claire. He's been needing a hug from somebody for awhile now.

Is it also wrong that I wish Claire hadn't healed Peter? Not only might having to heal the hard way teach him a thing or two (I know, I crack myself up sometimes), but he'd have to spend some time in the hospital. Where Emma & Hesam work. And who might come to visit him. And yes, I'm up for either pairing.

I thought Simon and Monty were sitting next to Angela at the funeral...

They don't get mentioned, but I'm pretty sure it was them. It was a pair of boys anyway.

I must've been too busy watching Angela. I totally missed them. Although considering how little screen time they ever got, I wouldn't recognize them if they bit me.

Stumbled on to your review. Hilarious! Emma looks old enough to be Peter's Aunt so ewww no. Pair her up with Sam :)

I've quit this show cold turkey and feel so much better now.

I can't give up Peter. And I think there's only 4 episodes or so left of the season. Besides, I've been having much more fun since I discovered [livejournal.com profile] heroes_meta. At least once per meta somebody makes me asphyxiate from laughing.

It took me a lot of work to get off the stuff, so I'm not going back!
