MGM/SciFi have already sent out a spoiler clip about the aliens. If you haven't seen it I think you're going to have a really huge What the...! moment come Friday night. I know my jaw hit the floor (and then I was ticked-off because I really hadn't wanted to be spoiled).
I, too, was baffled by the need to belittle Sheppard's intelligence in this episode. It reminded me, unfavorably, of The Pegasus Project when everyone was ganging up on McKay. I realize that they were probably trying for comedic moments, but it got to the point where it was just ugly.
