1.) Read a very, very long Gundam Wing fic.
2.) Watched eps 5-8 of Peacemaker Kurogane.
3.) Browsed a lot of icons in a lot of fandoms, but only took one for Torchwood.
What's up with the latest styles of icons? Everything I'm looking at is oddly framed so you only wind up with the lower 1/4 of somebody's face or something; the colors have been altered to some weird shade that has nothing to do with the original pic; text has been added that either obscures the picture, or is too small to read; and texture effects have been added that, in concert with everything else, guarantees that I have no idea what I'm looking at.
I'm glad people are stretching their creativity and expanding their mad Photoshop skillz, but what's wrong with icons where you can actually tell who and what they're supposed to be of?
