Happy birthday,
queeberquabbler!
I was actually more interested in the guest characters for once. I mean, did anyone really doubt that the episode would end with Dean sacrificing his chance at a Mark-free existence to save Sam?
The witch said she didn't make Hansel do anything, and he clearly chose the witch over the hunters when he didn't have to, but Hansel also had very obvious burns. Did the witch do that do him, or was he burned some other way and just used the burns to gain the Winchesters' trust? Did Hansel always have a dark side to him that the witch talked him into letting loose, or did she torture him until he Stockholmed? Inquiring minds want to know! But we never will because Hansel and the witch are both dead.
Did the Winchesters learn nothing from Claire? Tina may be looking on the bright side of being stuck in her 14 year old body, and at least she remembers her adult experiences, but to the rest of the world she's 14. She won't be able to get a job. If she gets caught, she'll wind up in a group home and (my personal nightmare) wind up back in high school again. And we've seen from Claire's experience what kind of people prey on 14 year old girls who are on their own. Tina's life is about to get very difficult, but Show made it look like she's about to set off on a fun and happy adventure. And I'm getting mildly appalled at how many teenage girls Sam and Dean are waving at and sending off into the world alone.
I like the new kid they have playing Teen!Dean. He'd obviously done his homework and had some of Jensen's expressions down cold. But the actors playing Teen!Tina and Teen!J.P. (especially Teen!J.P.) were awful.
And speaking of Dean:

He's progressed from vaguely UFO shaped to something I used to shoot down playing Space Invaders. I should be able to start on his hair next week, so that'll help him look more like himself.
