You know how I sometimes do reaction posts with meta and actual thinky thoughts and everything? This isn't one of those posts.
I just had to take a moment to squee about how awesome Stiles was tonight. The trailer made it look like the humans weren't going to have much to do in this episode, but Stiles, Allison, and Lydia (assuming she's human at this point, but even if she's not, she's not a werewolf, so that's the important thing for this episode) did all the detective work to figure out what was going on, then Stiles stepped up to save all the werewolves, even though none of them except Scott even like him.
Stiles totally wrestled a werewolf he basically considers part of the enemy camp, and who was armed with a circular saw at the time, to save his life (and Ethan was apparently so unable to grasp that concept that he decided Scott was the one who saved his life, even though Scott wasn't even there).
And then Scott, OMG. Stiles stepped into the pool of gasoline so that Scott couldn't kill himself without killing Stiles too. And then there was friendship and brotherhood and tears and Lydia tackling them both to the ground when the dark druid tried to set them on fire anyway. When was the last time you saw a female character on TV tackle a grown male character and cover him with her body to protect him?
It has definitely been the dark druid eps I've liked a whole lot more than the alpha pack eps so far this season. I don't suppose the alpha pack will be going away soon so they stop harshing my squee? Oh, well. A girl can dream.
