I feel like what this show is really suffering from is that the wrong lines get cut.
Sometimes. But in addition to deleting some things that should air, Lenkov is very big on 'things happen off-screen.' Which is true, they do, but they shouldn't be really major character- or plot-related things (like, say, the sudden Adam/Kono relationship that came out of nowhere).
It's like he doesn't add certain things because he assumes we can read his mind, only there are an awful lot of us, and we're all different, and we can't read his mind, so we don't come to the conclusions he assumes we will and he doesn't understand why.
