I really liked this ep. It had a nice human story, the science fiction fit in neatly, and all the characters were in character without going over the top into caricature in the name of humor.
I always love it when events from previous eps carry over into the current one. It makes the universe seem more real to me. It makes total sense that Jack would still be feeling betrayed over Allison lying to him and withholding vital information about a town crisis from him last week. Jack even said that he'd get over it eventually, but that he wasn't quite done being mad yet.
The overall theme of the ep about taking consequences for one's own actions was a nice change of pace. There just isn't enough of that around in my opinion.
I'm glad they've toned down Zoe this season. I really hated her last season, but now I just find her occasionally annoying and sometimes likeable.
Is Henry going to rope Nathan into his investigation of Beverly? That would be cool.
I loved the robot in the robotics lab. He was a cutie.
In support of one of my Yahoo!Group's theory that there are only 40 working Canadian actors at any one time:
Night Heat sighting: Scott Hylands. Okay, he's also been on practically every other show that shoots in Canada, too.
And now a word from our sponsors:
OMG, was that Michael Shanks in Mega Snake? Whatever happened to the big movie career he was aiming for?
Every Cialis commercial ends with a naked couple outside in twin bathtubs. Is there some connection between Cialis and public bathing that I'm missing? I'm hoping there's some sort of allegory or symbolism going on that I'm not getting, because otherwise that would just be...stupid.
