[swoon] I finally had time to watch this episode, and it's definitely worth the wait! The hiking scene was wonderful -- banter, reminiscences of growing up, whumpage, Hawaiian scenery, fan-service scenery (Danny looks good in a T-shirt and jeans, and I'm sure it was totally necessary to have that many butt-shots during the rock climbing), plus BAMF-y Steve and Danny. Beautiful!
Steve seriously needs to get over some control issues though. He just got a cast on his arm, and he still won't let Danny drive to the bad guy's house? Plus, he has to be the one to take the guy down? Come on!
Danny not wanting the waitress to sign Steve's cast was definitely the icing on the cake for this episode. That actually had me squeeing more than the "I <3 U" scene, although maybe because I didn't have spoilers for it already.
It looks like this was an inspiring episode! I have 38 bookmarks that said they had spoilers for it, although there may be a few duplicates between LJ and AO3. On the other hand, I haven't checked any H50 comms since Friday night, so I'm sure more have been posted by now.
