REC
Sometimes crossovers work for me and sometimes they don't. I like them best when the two universes--or characters within those two universes--are compatible. I also like outside POV stories for the new perspective they can give us on familiar characters.
This particular series features the observations of Sheriff Jack Carter on the two newest inhabitants of Eureka, Rodney McKay and John Sheppard. Rodney, of course, is in Eureka to do some work at Global Dynamics and knows some of the other people in town (Fargo was his teaching assistant in college and he worked with Henry at Area 51). None of the stories are particularly long and they're all ridiculous fun.
TEASER
Nobody answered when Jack knocked on the enormous double-doors, so he walked around the side of the house along the wrap-around porch until he saw two men standing on the back steps, looking disheveled and out of breath, surrounded by boxes marked things like, DANGEROUS and REALLY REALLY DANGEROUS and LEGOS.
