Fireworks!
Jul. 4th, 2007 10:24 pmI accidentally saw a whole lot of fireworks tonight!
How does one accidentally see fireworks? Well, I'm used to towns around here doing their displays on July 3rd, so I wasn't even thinking about fireworks tonight. I also don't usually go out late at night, but I hadn't had dinner, I was hungry, it was hot, and I was in the mood for ice cream, so I headed out to Culver's. As I was leaving Culver's, the fireworks started. That's when I discovered that Culver's is on a bit of a hill with a long incline, which allowed me to see multiple town's fireworks displays at once. Displays started at different times in different towns, so I sat in the picnic table area at Culver's for about an hour watching the fireworks displays of 9 different towns. It was really cool watching 2 different grand finales at once. It wasn't even crowded. There were only 5 other people out there watching with me. Plus, ice cream.
I hadn't set out to, but I had a really good time.
