Self-Improvement
Jun. 25th, 2007 07:35 pmI hate housework with a blinding passion, so I tend to avoid it whenever possible. This has been exacerbated recently by a lot of work stress, to the point that I don't feel like doing anything that smacks of work when I get home. It shows. I tried setting myself a goal of doing small amounts of housework every day to try to make it a habit, but I made the mistake of starting this about a week before MediaWest. Being out of town for four days was enough to break the fledgling habit.
Today, I'm starting over, including filling out the goal worksheet I got at a workshop.
( Worksheet )ETA: So far, so good. I did my 15 minutes tonight and managed to finish the dishes. This is progress. The first time I tried this, it took me a week of 15 minute sessions to finish the dishes.
