The Rorschach profile for The Watchmen was awesome. He was the character I was most worried about making the transition to the big screen because he's so dark and because he's always been my favorite. But judging by the profile, the movie isn't sugarcoating him at all and the casting was dead on. I just hope the prison cafeteria scene makes it into the movie.

After Peter's power got simplified, I felt confident that I knew how it worked. Then I watched "Exposed" and got all confused again. It seemed like Peter needed skin-to-skin contact to grab a power based on the fact that he nabbed a power from Mohinder and Tracy on the plane by touching their hands but was still able to fly while carrying Parkman. Then he snagged Parkman's power through his jacket sleeve and Nathan's power through three layers of clothing. If he needed to concentrate to take a power, he wouldn't have snagged Tracy's by accident on the plane. He couldn't have been practicing because he still had Nathan's power from a couple of episodes ago. ::is confused:: I think Peter's power was simpler to understand before it got simplified. It was nice to see Peter having good control over his various borrowed abilities and using them to good effect, though. He looked like he was having way too much fun breaking into Nathan's HQ.

It makes me both happy and sad to see Peter finally fully embracing his inner Petrelli. On the one hand it's a shame he had to lose some of the innocent quality that seems to make so many people want to protect him and what he represents, but on the other hand it's nice to see him on a more level playing field with his family. Arthur used a hug to steal Peter's powers from him. Nathan used a hug to distract Peter so he could be tranqed and hauled off to a containment facility. Peter finally used a hug to borrow Nathan's power and get away from him again.

I'm also really enjoying the way everybody seems to want to protect Peter, even people who are ostensibly not on his side. Last night alone, Parkman held off the guards so Peter could escape from Nathan's HQ, HRG used Peter's borrowed telepathy to warn him he was being set up, and Nathan was there to catch him and fly him to safety when Danko's shot knocked him off the roof. I think Danko's personal vendetta against Peter may be the thing that finally turns Nathan against his own project and leads to a reconciliation between the brothers. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Meanwhile, Nathan's finally realized that his little project has completely gotten away from him and he no longer has any control over it. Danko was always wound a little tight, but he's finally cracked now. He's so afraid of specials and so desperate to make everyone else as afraid of them as he is that he duct taped dynamite to Parkman to manufacture a terrorist attack. I have a feeling it's not going to work out the way he wants, but it's probably going to all play out in the media as a battle of public perception now. There's no way Parkman won't make the news, and Peter already leaked the footage of the detainees being led onto the plane.

I'm not sure what to make of Sandra. Her characterization has been all over the place since season 1, but if the writers settle on this version of her and stick with it, I'll be very happy. I love Sandra was she's all no-nonsense and competent.

See, Claire? This is why everybody is trying to stop you from fighting the special government forces. Everybody, including your mom, is better at it than you are. Seriously, start small and learn a few lessons from your parents before you decide to make a full time job of smuggling specials to safety. And speaking of, what the heck is Eric Doyle doing at the Bennets' looking for help? Didn't he die in volume 3?

I can't believe Rachel (shout out to Taylor Cole who played Sarah in "Provenance" on Supernatural, ironically playing a hunter now) didn't find Alex in that pantry hiding spot, though. It looked like she found the shelf wall that pushed out and there wasn't enough room back there for Alex to hide from her.

Poor Lyle. He finally gets a decent part in an episode and his mother calls him clueless, says he's a terrible driver, invents a reason to ground him, and takes his drivers license to make a fake I.D. for someone else. He'll probably be happy to go back to being wallpaper at the Bennet household.

And now for my summary of Sylar and Luke's story:

Luke: "You'll be my bestest friend ever, won't you? Please? You will, right?"

Sylar: ::smacks Luke into solid object with telekinesis::

Me: \0/

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I really hope Luke is a temporary character and goes away very soon. I'm really enjoying the show for the first time in a long time except for the scenes he's in.
