I'm definitely on Sam's side there. He let Dirk push him around for nearly a month before snapping. It's just too bad that the pendulum swung so hard in the other direction that Dirk wound up being bullied so intensely. Not that he hadn't brought it on himself, but if his father hadn't been so grief-stricken and in denial, he might've been able to help Dirk cope with his anger in ways that didn't involve bullying, drugs, or alcohol. I totally agree with you, though, that Sam saved other kids from becoming Dirk's future victims. Too bad he couldn't save Barry, too.
I think students everywhere are happy Dean became a hunter instead of a PE teacher.
That's one of the side effects of all the moving around they did--Dean's only real role-model of a PE teacher was his ex-Marine hunter father. I think students everywhere are happy that John never went undercover as a PE teacher.
