"What are we gonna do tonight, Brain?"
"The same thing we do every night, Pinky--try to take over the world!"
Seriously? Oliver's people have a warehouse full of radio-controlled predators that he wants to take over the world with? When did Primeval become Austin Powers? You know, I can totally see Oliver thinking that was a great idea, but I'd credited Helen with more brains than that.
I'd also credited Stephen with more brains than that, but apparently they're not what he was thinking with this episode. Helen is so screamingly obvious when she lies; I can't believe he fell for her crap again. I'm neither surprised nor sorry that Nick fired him, and I really liked Stephen up until now.
It's a fairly sad state of affairs when my favorite character in an episode turns out to be Sir James Lester. He's such an officious, pompous ass, and people like that who bully underlings often turn out to be weak and cowardly underneath, but after an initial moment or two of panic, he really pulled himself together and kicked butt.
I'm looking forward to next week to see what the immediate purpose of the radio-controlled predators is, and I can only hope it's not as cheesetastic as I'm afraid it's going to be.
