Drive-By Finale Thoughts

Watching the season finale for the second time when I already knew what was going to happen was a different experience.

I wish we'd seen more of the governor as a criminal mastermind before she died, not that that was possible with Five-0 already knowing what she was up to. She had some stones to scream and cry over Laura's exploding car if she's the one who ordered the hit in the first place.

I still stand by my theory that there was more to Rachel bolting off to New Jersey on the red eye than just not wanting to be around Stan after she confessed her affair and pregnancy. She just seemed too afraid and in too big a hurry to leave.

In all the hostility that was aimed at Danny last spring in the shock of him agreeing to leave with Rachel and Grace, what got lost in the shuffle was how happy Danny looked when Rachel told him she was pregnant. He still loves her, and he looked so excited about being with her and getting to be a daddy again. If it turns out that Rachel was playing him, he's going to be devastated.

It would have been cool to see more of the governor as criminal mastermind, or at least have things that we could look back and go, "So that's who was pulling all those strings!" As it stands, I kindof assume that Wo Fat was the culprit unless there's evidence otherwise.

You've got good points on the whole Danny-Rachel thing. I really, really hope the writers (et al.) come up with a good way to handle that. Actually, I'm generally hoping that the writers come up with a good way to handle all of the stuff from the season finale. ;>

As long as they don't mess with the bromance I can cope with almost anything, and I've heard a couple of good spoilers on that front.

I agree that Wo Fat has been getting his hands dirty more than the governor has, but she was too in bed with the yakuza not to have been getting her hands dirty too. I hope we find out the full extent of her involvement this season.
