About two years ago, Bruce McDonald announced that he was going to do three sequels to his film Hard Core Logo, which starred Hugh Dillon as Joe Dick and Callum Keith Rennie as Billy Tallent. One was supposed to be about Joe Dick and Bucky Haight, another about Joe and Billy, and the third about Joe and Billy's daughters and their band.

I don't know about the other two, but the movie that was supposed to be about Joe and Billy was transformed into Trigger, which now stars Molly Parker and Tracy Wright. It also features CKR and Julian Richings (but not as Billy and Bucky), but the main story revolves around these two new characters.

I'm really disappointed. Hugh and CKR have such brilliant chemistry on screen. I was really excited about getting to see them work together again, but now it's not likely to happen unless they guest star on each other's TV shows (Hugh is currently starring on Flashpoint, CKR on Shattered).

I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

I'm glad to see both of them working, but yeah, I feel your pain. Hmm, need to get my Hard Core Logo tape out and rewatch...

Out of the three planned movies, the Joe & Billy one was the one I wanted to see most, darn it. It'll be such a waste if they never get to work together again.
