SGA Ep: Outsiders

Maybe I'm missing something.

If Jervis handed the plague survivors over to the Wraith, wouldn't that mean the Wraith would then know who was safe to eat? I'm guessing Jervis wasn't thinking his plan through.

Also?

Dropping a mine on a buttload of Wraith = good.

Dropping a mine on a bunch of humans whose only crime was to be short-sighted and inconvenient = bad.

The writers really seem to have hit a wall this season, which gives me no hope that SGU is going to be any good, because the same writers who ran out of ideas on SG-1 and SGA are going to be writing it. I think it's long past time (and at the same time, too late) for an infusion of fresh blood on the writing staff.

regrettably, i saw jervis and his pals as collateral damage. they chose their fate and walked right into it. they were ready to basically commit murder themselves by turning over the plague survivors. i don't envy sheppard his choice, or the village leader, who will no doubt have many sleepless nights for his part in the scheme.

alas, i've been begging for new writing staff since season 4 of stargate sg-1. alas, we had a good one in, um, oh, who wrote the episode where shep got sucked dry by todd (my mind is swiss cheese today) but when sg1 got cancelled, those writers moved over and booted out the new blood. too bad :(

however, i did enjoy the beckett-mckay bonding :)

I thought SG-1 did okay until the middle of season 6. When it came back from the mid-season break, it was just a steady downhill until they finally shot it and put it out of its misery.

Ken Cuperus wrote "Common Ground," plus two other episodes, and that's it. Figures. We wouldn't want to have anyone on staff who writes good episodes about Sheppard.

I just find myself really resenting any screen time going to anyone who isn't on Sheppard's team right now. With only half a season left until it's all over, I want to see the characters I originally became a fan of the show for, and I want to see them all on a mission together, not split up all over the place. I especially resent that Keller is getting more showcase episodes this season than Sheppard has gotten in five years. I call BS.

Yeah I want *Team* episodes, and definitely better be a team movie! although if Mallozzi is writing it.... well, there's fanfic, thank god.
