I don't know if I'm just getting hyper-critical because I'm upset about the looming end of the series or if these last couple of episodes have really sucked as massively as I'm thinking they did.
I've been wondering the same thing about myself, but then I remember that I didn't like last season much either. I haven't really squeed hard at an episode since season 3.
But this was the best plan Sheppard could come up with?
Yeah, his whole plan for the episode seemed to be to give him a minute while he came up with a plan. I miss Sheppard using his smarty brains. Meanwhile, Rodney's dialogue for the episode consisted of, "That's impossible! I'll only need a few minutes to do it!"

The same people have been writing in the same universe for ten seasons now. I've been wanting some new faces in the writers' room for awhile, preferably at least one who isn't a fanboy and one who is a woman.
