Dear Sudafed,

Your package is clearly labeled "maximum strength nasal decongestant," so could you please explain to me why it is that I've been taking your little red pills every 4 hours for 4 days, yet I still can't lie down or breathe through my nose, and now my ears are all stopped up?

Well I hope it stays as just a cold. The Sudafed PE works mildly, but I don't like the real sudafed as it increases my heart rate.

Unfortunately, Sudafed PE doesn't seem to work at all for me. I'll just have to keep taking Sudafed at the widest spaced recommended dose. I'm looking forward to being able to lie down when I go to bed tonight, though. I've only been able to sleep propped up half-sitting with pillows this week.

Yeah well the last time I had a cold that meant I need to fall asleep half sitting against pillows morphed into me not being able to walk much and needing an inhaler steroids and antibiotics. I hope you don't get that.

Bleah, that sounds awful. No, I just have respiratory allergies, so when I get sick, my sinuses go into mucus overdrive. My mom used to have to give me nose drops as a kid when I had a cold so I could breathe. Man, did I hate those. Yuck.
