Since the last rec was so long, I'm going with a shorter one this time.
Stargate Atlantis was probably the most fun fandom I've ever been in, and there was something about the dynamic of Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams that was so similar to the dynamic between John Sheppard and Rodney McKay that a whole bunch of SGA fans popped up in H50 fandom in season 1, so I had a whole lot of fun early on in H50 fandom, too.
This particular fic is set after the season 1 finale and was posted shortly before the season 2 opener. Honestly, I wish this was the way season 2 had gone instead of what we actually got.

And unfortunately a lot of them were deleted either by the author or when the hosting site went down and I can't even find them on the Wayback Machine. Although it's been kind of a fun challenge to find old LJ fic on AO3 when the author's AO3 name isn't even close to their LJ name.
