I Love It When a Plan Comes Together

Borders sent me a 40% off coupon for any DVD boxed set, good only yesterday and today. I was wracking my brain to come up with something, but I'd just bought the box sets for both Heroes and Supernatural, so I was stumped. Well, guess what came out today? Yes, I now have season 3 of Stargate Atlantis for cheap. Now that's timing.

When I asked a random Borders employee to open the locked case where they keep the box sets, he walked right up the the SGA cabinet without me even saying anything, pointed at the SGA set, and asked me if that's what I wanted. When I asked him how he knew, he said it'd been selling really well. Go, SGA!

Now I just need time to watch all these freaking DVDs. Stupid Spanish class.

I never got into The Outer Limits for some reason. I grew up watching the original Twilight Zone and One Step Beyond, though. They were on in syndication on Sunday morning just after The Lone Ranger and The Cisco Kid. ::has massive flashback to childhood::

I want to see A Dog's Breakfast one of these days, but I'm always leery of buying DVDs of movies I've never seen. I've found some real treasures that way (Hard Core Logo), but I've also wound up with a lot of stink bombs (Purple Toast, Men With Guns). I blame Callum Keith Rennie. It's too freaking hard to follow that man's career from the States.

I used to watch Outer Limits and Twilight Zone all the time as a kid. Loved 'em both. Oh my, you too have good and bad flicks of Callum Keith Rennie. I picked up some 'dogs' of his back when he was doing Due South, but also some good ones too. And heck, that was in the videotape days! ;)

Me too! Hard Core Logo, Double Happiness, Purple Toast, Men With Guns, For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down, Paris or Somewhere, Curtis's Charm, Wilby Wonderful... My best friend and I even drove into Chicago one weeknight because the U of C's Doc Films program was running Frank's Cock. I miss Callum. Not even for him can I sit through Battlestar Galactica.

I know the feeling. Quite enjoy watching Callum but not through BSG.
