Eureka Ep: Duck, Duck Goose

A high school science fair in Eureka had the potential to be a comedy goldmine. Instead, the show front-loaded the humor in the first 10 minutes of the ep (before the science fair), and it was all of the slapstick/humiliation variety. Unfortunately, that's not my sense of humor. Fortunately, the show's regular verbal humor (much more my thing) still popped up now and again.

I get that the show was making a point about how IQ isn't everything, what with the science fair winner in the dead end job and the normal IQ sheriff helping to save the day and everything. I just cry at the wasted comic potential of a Eureka high school science fair, especially after all the build-up at the beginning of the ep. Although, I did like the Heathers crack about the popular girls.

Zoe isn't annoying me quite as much this season as she did last season, but based on previous behavior, I refuse to believe that she has an IQ of 157.

S.A.R.A.H. is even scarier as a car than she is as a house.

Nitpick: If the magnetic field is strong enough to pull objects out of orbit, shouldn't much closer earthbound stuff be flying towards it too?

Favorite lines:

Jo (about the science fair): "It's like Armageddon with acne."

Carter: "The military is building killer geese?"

Carter: "Area 51 is real?"
Henry (nodding): "No."
