Chin and Kono don't live in dumps, but they're also not paying child support, which I'm assuming Danny is. Given Rachel and Stan's standard of living, I doubt she needed it, but considering the way Danny was initially getting shafted on visitation, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was having to pay anyway. Of course, if Danny and Rachel get back together, that wouldn't be an issue either.

I'm sure people could work around (or simply ignore) Danny and Rachel getting back together. I'm just being grumpy about characters I like being remarkably stupid. The official writers are not arranging their universe the way I want, darn it.
