And I kept waiting for Rachel to crash into something while staring at Danny in her side-view mirror as she drove away.
Oh, yeah!! I kept thinking, "Eyes on the road!"
More Danny-whumping on screen would have been nice, although watching him trying to do his job from the hospital bed wasn't bad. Danny and Steve had some good scenes at the hospital and HQ. Steve asking for a hug was sweet. (Jenna asking for a hug made her look like someone's tag-along little sister.)
I really, really hope that TPTB stop trying to put Rachel and Danny back together. How does "starting something with your ex-wife while her current marriage is failing" sound like a good idea?? Not only are all the old problems with his job still problems, they're also in Hawaii where everything is stupidly expensive. Unless Rachel's job is bankrolling that McMansion or she gets amazing alimony from Stan, they're going to end up sharing the fold-away in Danny's roach motel. Of course, if Rachel and Stan break up and she doesn't get back together with Danny, she won't have a lot of reason to stay in Hawaii. Sigh.
IA being too smart to fall for Chin's ploy was good. I hope he can buy his house back from the loan shark, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
Kono whapping the fleeing suspect with a trash can lid was beautiful.
Overall, it was a good episode, but I can see why it doesn't seem to be inspiring as much fan-fic as the epic heart episode did (Ma Ke Kahakai). Unless next week is pretty amazing, I suspect a lot of people are going to be ignoring or working around the Rachel relationship during the hiatus.
