Mother Nature Is a Tease
Jul. 9th, 2007 08:53 pmWe had a severe thunderstorm warning all afternoon, and while we actually got a thunderstorm this time, it wasn't severe. It looked like it was going to be really nasty, with very dark clouds and sheeting rain. It even got very windy for awhile (when the front came through, the temperature dropped 20 degrees really quickly). But the actual thunderstorm itself, while decent, wasn't nearly as bad as it looked like it was going to be. No fair.
We got just enough rain to cause accidents. I passed a rollover in the northbound lanes while heading southbound after work. It must have just happened, because emergency vehicles hadn't even arrived yet. I started passing them about a mile down the highway. It's never a good sign when all you can see of the vehicle is one tire sticking up over the center divider.
