So I'm not normally one to trumpet my birthday on LJ, but this one is something of a milestone. I'm 40 years old today. I know! I can't believe it either. I have no idea how this happened, aside from my obvious failure to die up to this point. Honestly, I don't even feel 30 yet. This 40 thing just isn't sinking in at all.

Date: 2009-07-23 10:45 pm (UTC)From:Weirdly, the oldest I've ever felt was when I was 17. I was talking about Star Wars with my BF (also 17 at the time), and a nearby 8-year-old turned to us and said, "Star Wars? Isn't that that old movie my parents like?" I have never felt so ancient in my life.
Of course, that 8-year-old would be 31 now, so neener neener.
