NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) starts on Sunday. I don't have 50,000 words to say about anything so I won't be participating, but I don't like feeling left out either. Last year, I successfully completed NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). This year, I was thinking of doing [ profile] nacraftpromo (National Craft Project Month).

I certainly have enough cross-stitch projects in my closet to choose from, ranging from completely unstarted to 3/4 done, but I can't decide whether to pick up a project I've already started, or start something new especially for NaCraftProMo. If I work on something I've already started, I at least stand a chance of finishing it, but it won't feel any different from any other time I've worked on it. If I start something new, I'll never finish it in a month, but it will be my special NaCraftProMo project that I could save and pick up next November too.

Help me decide.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to register for WinchestMidwest.

It's a Supernatural con
It's only $35 for the weekend (3 days)
The con hotel is so close to my apartment that I can see it from here

It's a very small con with only one track of programming
I'm only interested in about 1/4 of the programming on the schedule
I probably won't know anyone there

If this con were being held anywhere else, the decision would be a no-brainer, but I'm having trouble letting go of the fact that there's going to be a Supernatural convention right in front of my face. How can I turn that down?

So, here's your chance to weigh in.
